John Paul (JP) Parker has spent over 30 years working in both the public and private sectors, specializing in national security, intelligence, and technology strategy. He spent 14 years in industry before transitioning to a nearly two-decade career in government, where he focused on space, cyber, and intelligence operations.

In 2018, Parker was appointed as the first-ever U.S. Intelligence Community Space Executive by the Director of National Intelligence. In this role, he worked across multiple agencies to align the intelligence community’s space enterprise, improve collaboration, and enhance operational capabilities. He also served as a special advisor for space, cyber, and intelligence to the Vice President of the United States, providing analysis and policy recommendations on key security challenges.

After leaving government service, Parker founded Escape Velocity, a consulting firm that advises organizations on national security and technology strategy. As a Board Member at Silverthread, he brings his experience in large-scale system analysis, risk management, and organizational leadership to help guide the company’s work with government and commercial clients.
